This talk will cover the Design Outreach (DO) appropriate technology design process as well as lessons learned and best practices...
Have you ever experienced a challenge that did not appear to have a solution? Technology, accross time has helped solve many problems that humans have faced.
In smallholder agriculture, Appropriate Technology helps address the unique problems that small-scale farmers experience. At ECHO's Apropriate Technology Virtual Fair, you will hear from practitioners around the that are utilizing innovative technology in their contexts. Join us on September 3 to explore presentations and exhibits of Appropriate Technology utilized around the world.
Those interested in learning more about appropriate technologies for agricultural development contexts and networking with those working with their own innovative takes on technological needs should attend ECHO's Appropriate Technology Virtual Fair. Use this time to explore what others are doing to address challenges or better steward their assets.
The Appropriate Technology Fair features keynote speakers from the ECHO East Africa Regional Impact Center. ECHO East Africa has become well known for its successful Appropriate Technology program and partnerships.
Design is a creative process in which everyone can engage meaningfully in addressing community-level problems. Solutions are better when the design process is inclusive and when contributors are encouraged in their creative abilities, when their perspective is both honored and celebrated. Harold Msanya and Erwin Kinsey will be share about what creative capacity is, and their experience in coordinating and conducting creative capacity training workshops.
Inspired by our Regional Impact Center in East Africa, ECHO first hosted an Appropriate Technology Fair at our annual International Agriculture Conference in 2019, featuring over 20 different technologies. Our delegates explored and interacted with these tools, expanding possibilities. In keeping with the spirit of last years event, ECHO is taking the Appropriate Technology Fair Online.
This year we will be hearing from East Africa Regional Impact Center Director, Erwin Kinsey, and Harold Msanya, Appropriate Technology Coordinator. Together they will discuss their experience in Creative Capacity Building. Organizations and practitioners from ECHO's network will discuss how they have utilized technology in their context. Come ready to learn, ask questions, and broaden your knowledge of technological ideas.
